1 Montgomery Trip: 6 cousins seen

We made the drive over to Montgomery to see some cousins. First, we headed to Rayne and Eric's house to celebrate Amelia's sixth birthday. Lito, Lita, and Papito were already there. Jordan had a blast on the swing set and playing in Amelia's clubhouse.

After that, we drove across town to the Snyder house to see Jordan's other cousins. Not only did Jordan get to spend time with Lucas and Carson, but the Banta cousins were there visiting for the weekend, too. We didn't pass up the opportunity for some FSU-UF rivalry pics. It took some coaxing, but Jordan finally decided it was ok to go near all those Gators.

Hose me down Daddy!

This week has been a rough one for all of us. Jordan seems to have brought a stomach bug home from school with him. Last Monday night while Nez was working late, Andy was feeding Jordan his dinner. For some reason when changing Jordan's diaper previously, only the new diaper went on. No pants at the dinner table apparently for Mr. Jordan. Anyway, he proceeds to have a major diaper blowout and with no pants to aid the diaper with the containment or by providing a buffer. Jordan ended up sitting in quite a mess to say the least. So Andy did the only logical thing he could think of...carry Jordan who is strapped to his booster which is strapped to the dining room chair into the bathroom. But then what? Now we are just closer to the tub but the potential for disaster is still there. Well, unhook the booster from the chair but not from the kid is the solution. As you can tell by the confused look on his face Jordan has never sat in his booster seat in the tub before. First time for everything. But, the hosing down process went smooth as a baby's behind (a clean behind that is) and Jordan actually enjoyed the whole fiasco.

Easter Egg Hunt 2012

With one Easter Egg hunt at church and a practice round at daycare under his belt, Jordan was no longer a

rookie egg hunter (2011)

like last year, but rather a

seasoned veteran (2012).

At Chamblee First United Methodist, they "hide" 10,000+ eggs and the kids scoop them all up in about 10 or 11 minutes. Jordan had his baseball Easter Basket and showed up this year ready to go. Daddy's goal for Jordan was 50 eggs (although he thought he was joking as we really expected maybe 20). When they said "GO" Jordan hunted and Nez held the basket for him. He couldn't hold it himself, as he had to hang on to Andy's keys with one hand the entire time. When it was all said and done, the final count was...

48 eggs!

So close to the goal. Just wait 'til next year...

Check out the video of the amazing Easter Egg hunter racking up all 48.

Spaghetti

Jordan hated spaghetti the first time we tried to give it to him. He's been eating pasta at school though, we thought we would give it a shot again. If nothing else, it made for some great photo ops.

Spring Break

This year for Andy's spring break we decided to stay in town. Nez took the week off of work and Jordan got to spend lots of time with his Lito, Lita, and Papito who came up from Florida. The plan was for Manny, Andy, and Nez to work on assembling the new shed in the backyard while Anin watched Jordan. On Saturday, Jordan got to spend some time with his cousin Amelia.
